Nash Churchyard BioBlitz - Evening Session

Nash Churchyard Bioblitz event

Join experts from Teme Valley Wildlife Group when we ‘Bioblitz’ Nash Churchyard, recording all the wildlife we find over two days. We will be identifying not just bugs, but wildflowers, grasses, birds, trees and bats. Suitable for all the family

Three sessions available over two days:13 & 14 June 2025

Friday 13th June: 10pm to 11:30pm - maximum 30 participants - moth and bat identification using handheld bat detectors and moth light traps.

Saturday 14th June:

· Morning session – 10 to 11.30 am – 20 participants

· Afternoon session – 2 to 4pm – 20 participants

Bug hunt also with wildflower, grass, birds and tree identification. Some moths caught the previous evening will be available to view.

Essential information

· Free event funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Tower, Spire and roof project.

· Hosted by Nash & Boraston Parochial church council.

· Children of 16 years and under must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/carer.

· Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

· Please bring a torch or headtorch to the evening session.

· Sessions will continue in light rain.

· In the event of very inclement weather, the Saturday session will be rescheduled for the following day: Sunday 15th June. Participants will be notified via email by 08:30 on Saturday if the sessions are postponed.

· Resource materials and equipment will be provided.

· Refreshments will be provided inside the church (excludes lunch).

· Parking on site

· Toilet facilities available in the car park (Portaloo)
