W**d the Wilderness

It’s that time, again! So grab your gloves and invite your friends and join the amazing Forest Service botany staff in at Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area for this year’s series of W**d the Wilderness events!

We will be meeting at the Nurnberg Trailhead parking lot at 9 am for a Tailgate Safety Session.

Please bring your lunch, gloves, and plenty of water (at least two bottles).

The Botany program will supply digger tools, trash bags, great views of Lake Michigan, and brownies (vegan included 😊)!

Our focus will be on treating Houndstongue for the first event; the following events will be focused on Spotted knapweed!
