Leeds based FORMING have spent years perfecting their raw, direct and passionate indie rock taking byways and highways through the spellbinding psychedelia of their previous incarnation as Unstable Journey to end up with a sound that is fresh, raw and immediate. You'll hear echoes of the melodic charms of REM, Teenage Fanclub or The Cure and equally a sense of toughened vulnerability all of their own. The band have recently been in the studio putting the finishing touches to their third album, which will be released later this year. Engaging and passionate performers their catchy and cathartic sound is very much a fixture on the Leeds DIY scene and now coming to The Puzzle for you to enjoy.

BEAN WEEVIL were unfortunate enough to burst onto the Sheffield DIY scene in early 2020, only to be forced back into hibernation weeks later. Shortly after emerging from lockdown they self-released their first EP with a sold-out headline show at Delicious Clam. Since then, the band has become a regular live draw for the Sheffield underground rock scene. The music is often loud and fast but never shy of a sweet harmony. Despite the fuzzy distortion and DIY aesthetic, the live show is always tight, with close attention to detail. 2023 ushered in their first music video, and 2025 took them on their first national tour.
