Rainbow Readers Book Club Returns!
Looking for a way to spend your free time? Do you love reading books focused on queer characters and/or authors? Well now’s your chance to get involved with LubbockPRIDE’s Queer Book Club, the Rainbow Readers!
We are back in action and our next meeting will be Saturday, July 19th at Mahon Library beginning at 4:00 PM.
We’ll be diving into the heartwarming fantasy The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. This magical novel follows Linus Baker, a quiet caseworker at the Department in Charge of Magical Youth, who’s sent on a classified assignment to an orphanage like no other. What he discovers there—a found family of unique, powerful children and their mysterious caretaker—will change his life forever. It’s a charming, queer-affirming story about acceptance, chosen family, and the quiet courage it takes to open your heart.
