Calling all young leaders ages 13–17! Are you ready to make your voice heard and shape real change in your community?
The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a dynamic team of teens who meet twice a month to guide and influence the Community Youth Development (CYD) program. YAC members help ensure programs reflect the real needs of youth in our neighborhoods.
As a YAC member, you’ll:
✅ Plan and carry out a meaningful service-learning project
✅ Earn volunteer hours
✅ Learn how to manage a budget
✅ Build research and communication skills
✅ Gain experience that looks GREAT on your resume or college apps!
📍 Meetings are held at the YWCA – 6501 University Ave, Lubbock

CYD YAC is a free committee within CYD for youth who live in or attend school in zip codes 79403, 79404, 79412, and 79415.
