Camp Raven Knob

This year, we will once again offer an extra week of summer camp at Camp Raven Knob near Mt. Airy, North Carolina July 20 – 26, 2025. This will be the 37th year that Troop 28 has been attending Raven Knob, a 3200-acre reservation in the Blue Ridge Mountains that offers a different program and experience from Heritage (including a dining hall).

​The trip is open to all boys in Troop 28 and girls in Troop 9028. Sign-ups are on a first-come basis. The total number of boys and girls allowed to go will depend on the number of drivers willing to make the 7-hour trip.

​This year Raven Knob will be again offering several programs for older scouts (over age 14) including a new ATV program and Rampage as part of the Outback program. These programs are designed to challenge the scouting skills of those boys who have earned most of the merit badges typically offered at camp.
