Impressions: Drypoint Printmaking @ The Mayfly

Get involved with the "IMPRESSIONS" project and develop your sketches or photos of the sculptures on the beach by exploring Intaglio printmaking. using drypoint We encourage everybody to get involved , previous experience is not required.
With a host of sculptures brought to the town as part of First Light Festival join in on one of our 3 hour printmaking sessions led by Hugh and Lisa Davies. Drypoint printmaking is a great way to explore intaglio printmaking. The technique lends itself to creating fine lines and areas of tone built up of layers of hatching . Its very similar to a pen and ink sketching technique. Bring along a selection of sketches and/or photographs that you have made of the sculptures on the beach as a basis for your drypoint design.

This Event is Free but Online Booking is required. Online Booking opens at 10am on Saturday 14th June
