This unique collaboration brings together two of Wellington’s most respected choirs: the Festival Singers, directed by Ingrid Schoenfeld, and the St Mary of the Angels Choir, directed by William McElwee.

William McElwee, Director of Music at St Mary of the Angels, is a multifaceted musician known for drawing outstanding vocalism from his choirs and stretching them musically.
Jonathan Berkahn, a seasoned performer and educator with a PhD in musicology, brings a wealth of experience as an accompanist, soloist, and chamber musician, enriching the performance with his expertise.
While traditionally associated with Christmas and Easter, this mid-winter performance of Messiah offers a refreshing opportunity to experience its radiant choruses and sparkling solos in a new light.
