Here’s Graces full panaui/notice:
Kia ora koutou,
I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the garden at this time of year.
As you might have seen in the latest Growers Network newsletter, I’m organising a series of free community fruit tree pruning workshops in partnership with Downers. The workshop will be led by a skilled gardener and will be open to the wider community as part of Council’s educational programmes.
I wanted to touch base to:
Let you know about the idea and that the gardener from Downers has identified the community fruit trees at the Moerā reserve as a suitable location for a workshop.
See if you have a preference for the day/time of the workshop from dates that have been suggested by the Downers gardener. I’m happy to arrange the session at whichever time would work best for you and your members, while still being advertised broadly and open to the public. Unfortunately, the gardener is only available on weekdays and has suggested the following options 12 pm–1 pm or 4 pm–5 pm on September 10th, 11th or 17th.
Please let me know your thoughts or preferences promptly as I need to begin firming up the details with Downers and the comms team very soon.
I think this could be a great opportunity to showcase your beautiful garden, share skills, and connect with other locals who are interested in fruit tree care.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Ngā mihi,
Grace Hiess
