Come join us at the Swamp Creek Rod and Gun Club Sunday June 8th, 2025 for a hands-on workshop on Defensive Handgun Applications presented by Elegant Solutions Training LLC.

This class is led by Dwayne Bolt, a seasoned multi-disciplined NRA Instructor and martial artist. This is a non-NRA course which includes classroom and range time..

You will learn how to safely draw, shoot, move and holster. This class includes classroom and range time. Our experienced instructors will cover everything from firearm safety to proper handling techniques. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your knowledge, skills and confidence when it comes tousing your handgun in defensive scenarios.

This class is 100% drawing and holstering. If you carry a firearm and have never had formal training, this class is for you. If you carry a firearm and have had formal training, this class is for you! You will be shooting from non-traditional positions; prone, supine, sitting, kneeling and behind cover to name a few. In this class you will be subject to time considerations, stress inocculation and multiple descion making skills, such as a shoot no shoot scenarios.

You must have a strong side Kydex or Polymer reinforced holster. NO SERPA holsters or any type with finger locking devices. No leather holsters. No shoulder holsters. No soft sided nylon holsters (e.g. Uncle Mikes). If you show up with any of the aforementioned items that are not allowed, you will NOT be able to participate. You will need a sturdy belt and a magazine carrier that holds 2 magazines. You will need at least 3 magazines or speedloaders and at least 200 rounds of FACTORY ammunition. No reloads! You must have a service caliber hand gun, 9mm, 40 cal. 10mm, 45 ACP. If you have a spare pistol, bring it. This class is for semi-automatic pistols only or revolvers.

Please bring lite snacks and hydration. We will take mini breaks with no formal lunch. This class is held outdoors, rain or shine. In the event of a weather system that makes being outside hazardous, the class will be postponed and participants notified at least 24 hours in advance. You will need appropriate weather-related clothing.
