Join the Western Michigan Chapter for our first-ever spring event! This event, along with our September annual meeting, are our bookends for the warmer months here in West Michigan.
The day kicks off with refreshments and a Chapter meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the NCT and our welcoming West Michigan trail community.
Attendees will learn how to advocate for the protection of the NCT, including ways to work on the trail and participate in efforts to combat invasive species like Oriental Bittersweet and Autumn Olive. Protecting trails and parks extends beyond the NCT, and our WMI Chapter benefits from partnerships with the Kent Conservation District and Kent County Parks Department. We will share various opportunities to get involved and volunteer, including activities right at Fallasburg Park.
At 9:30 am, you can choose to go on a 3-mile or 6-mile group hike.
