Lowell: A City of Cotton in a time of Anti-Slavery
Professor Robert Forrant of UMASS Lowell will lead a historical
walk and discussion of the places of importance in the
Anti-Slavery Movement here in the City of Lowell. Locations
will include The Boott Cotton Mill and Agent’s House, St. Anne’s
Church, Apprentice Hall, Old City Hall and more. Come hear the
fascinating story of the Anti-Slavery movement in the heart of a
city driven by the cotton industry.
