About the Performers
Sam Adams: Sam Adams' entertainment career began at age 49, shortly after he won prizes at the 2009 Great American Comedy Festival. The “True Color” video clip from Sam’s 2018 Dry Bar Comedy special has generated over 40 million social media views worldwide. Prior to his career in standup comedy, Sam was a Denver, Colorado-based sports journalist.
Rebecca Em: Rebecca Em is a Colorado-based comedian who punches up on stage and off—sometimes literally, thanks to her Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. Equal parts sass and submission holds, Rebecca brings big laughs as a host and regular comic performing along the Front Range. Her comedy blends sharp observations with chaotic charm, like a TED Talk that got hijacked by a tequila shot.
Elyssa Phillips: Elyssa is an internationally performing stand-up, actress, and sketch comedian. She hosts a monthly all-female standup show at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and was most recently seen nationally opening up for Iliza Shlesinger. When she’s not on stage, she can be seen on TV, including "Hacks", "Silicon Valley", "Fresh Off The Boat", and "The Mindy Project”, to name a few. Elyssa is also very, very single.
Clay Beyersdorfer: Clay Beyersdorfer is a stand-up comedian and graduate of The Second City and Armed Services Arts Partnership. His sharp, darkly honest style has earned him spots opening for headliners like Vik Pandya and Will O'Donnell. Blending dry wit, personal stories, and a military veteran’s perspective, Clay challenges audiences to laugh at the hard stuff—and usually succeeds.
Helen Driesen: Helen Driesen is an up-and-coming Denver comic who brings her own brand of blunt and charmingly risqué humor to her standup. Originally from the East Coast, Helen has appeared at festivals across the nation and has shared the stage with Kevin Nealon, Mark Normand, and Beth Stelling. Her music is available on all streaming platforms, and it isn’t funny, so please don’t laugh.
Cori Stewart: Cori Stewart writes dumb jokes that smart people like. She believes that everything is beautiful, hilarious, and tragic in almost equal measure. She has performed at clubs and festivals all over the country, but she is happiest to laugh with you.
James Tanford: James Tanford is a New York-based stand-up comic whose vulnerable and self-effacing stories cover everything from his wealthy childhood to his rec league basketball team. He’s been seen in the New York Times and the Vice documentary "Comedy Star Search."
