I am a creative work in progress. Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, a 12-week process of creative recovery, has been an instrumental tool in helping me get out of my own way. I've gone through the process multiple times by myself and accompanied groups through it, the last time being last fall.
Each time the process has been rich and led to new discoveries, insights, and steps on the creative path. Each time I have deepened my self-understanding and expanded my creative practices. Journeying through The Artist’s Way with others has amplified the elements of play, depth, curiosity, and inspiration. I am ready to share The Artist’s Way with others again.
If you are looking for a reset...
If you are wanting to connect with play and wonder...
If you are longing for deep connections with yourself and others...
Join me in moving through The Artist's Way.
Details:
The group is limited to 12 participants.
The group will meet on Tuesday evenings in my home in the Clifton area of Louisville (there are cats in the space). The process also includes an opening and closing retreat on Saturdays (all dates below). The facilitated process will include:
- 8 (eight) facilitated in-person gatherings between Saturday, April 12 and Saturday, July 12, totalling 24 hours of facilitated time together:
- Opening retreat Saturday, August 16
- 6 (six) in-person meetings during the process:
at 6:30pm on Tuesdays, August 19, September 2, 16, & 30, October 14 & 28
- Closing retreat Saturday, November 15
- Weekly emails with reminders, reflections, and suggestions for supplemental materials
- A private Facebook group to share inspiration, joys, struggles, and discoveries
We will seek to create a community of support where we listen and don’t judge, where we are open to creativity without trying to control it in ourselves or others. As facilitator, I will guide the process and encourage each person to share their insights and wisdom. I incorporate my training in Compassionate Communication into the way I guide the group. I honor that we are all students of the process and teachers to each other.
The program is offered on a sliding scale. Scholarship slots are limited and will open once there are 6 Standard or Support Level registrations..
