**BASIC IMPROV: LEVEL ONE** is a six-week introductory course designed to guide you through the essentials of improvisation. Perfect for anyone looking to explore improv, this class provides a supportive environment to delve into fundamentals through warm-ups, group games, and exercises.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, seeking greater comfort in social settings, aiming to boost confidence and stage presence, looking to join an improv troupe, preparing for public speaking, or a professional actor wanting to refine your technique, improv can help. You’ll develop crucial skills such as dialogue and performance variation, creativity, active listening, confidence, mindfulness, self-expression, character development, physicality, energy, and scene work—all while learning to create without self-judgment.
Improv 502’s Level One offers a safe space to discover your creative potential and experience the joy of improvisational play. It’s an ideal starting point whether you’re new to improv or looking to refresh your skills. No prior experience is necessary—just come ready to explore and have fun with Improv 502!
Victoria Wagner is Improv 502’s Executive & Artistic Director and Asst. Dir. of Education. She has been performing improv & theatre for over 17 years and teaching for over 8 years.
