Winter Birch with Shari

Join Shari for a calm, creative winter landscape painting class inspired by quiet forests, soft light, and the beauty of birch trees. We’ll begin by creating small value and color-mixing samples to explore light, mid-tones, and darks before moving on to an 8×10 canvas.

You’ll learn simple techniques for creating atmospheric backgrounds, textured birch trunks, and a strong sense of depth through value and composition. Add falling snow, shadows, or subtle color shifts to make the scene your own.

No experience needed. Come relax, paint, and enjoy a peaceful winter-inspired creative break. Each student will leave with an 8×10 canvas board, matted and ready to frame.
