Join us for a rousing sing in memory of our good friend the late (officially) Bill Wilkes.
Bill was always ready to sing, generous with his time, knowledgeable on many subjects and supportive of folk musicians and singers.
Bill’s distinctive, booming voice could be heard in many folk clubs, festivals and singarounds – in churches and cathedrals and even the odd shebeen!!!
Round in voice and stature, Bill will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
The weekend will be free of charge – there will be a CHARITY collection.
The bar serving real ale, cider, wine and soft drinks will be open during all sessions.
Paid parking is available on the surrounding roads, several local hotels have car parks and the venue is a short walk from Leicester Railway.

When attending; Friday/Saturday/Sunday/ All weekend
Any special dietary requirements
The format for the weekend will be;
Friday evening; Doors open at 6pm for meeting and chat.
Singing will start at 8pm and finish around 11pm. (Tea and coffee will be available but no food – there are many good restaurants nearby)
Saturday; Doors open 10am. Singing from 10.30am to 1.00pm. Break for lunch – bread, cheese, cold meats, salad etc etc.
Singing 2pm to 6pm. Break for dinner; Chicken and Vegetable Biryani, Naan bread.(Alternative may be available)
Singing 8pm to 11.30pm
Sunday; Doors open 10.00am. Singing 10.30am to 12.30pm. Break for lunch; Cold meats, quiches, Hot roast potatoes, Cauliflower Cheese
Final sing – chorus songs 2pm to 4 pm. Tea and Cake.
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate, Decaf tea and Decaf coffee will be available all weekend – please bring any other beverages that
you prefer.
