AKC Pointing Dog Hunt Tests by the GSP Club of Central California, Inc.
Each level test will be run on a single looping course with bird field. Judges will be off quad. Handlers may be off quad with AKC approved disability. Chukar will be released in all tests. Quail and pheasant may also be encountered. Gallery may follow only in Junior test. In Senior and Master test gallery will be escorted by golf cart to the gunners tent for observation. Gallery must remain inside the gunners tent while handlers are in the bird field. All participants must wear blaze orange. AKC "Buddy" allowed in Junior test.

Group on-leash walk. This minimum 1.5 mile walk will follow the hunt test and walking field trial course as a single loop. At the conclusion of your walk we will sign off as requirement for your Fit Dog title. Maximum two dogs per handler. No electric collars or pinch collars allowed. Pedometer/tracking collars allowed. $30 entry per dog. Be sure to bring headlamps, glow sticks, light-up collars, or other bright battery powered decorations to wear, as the walk is typically held at sunset. A. Agreement Scope and Territory
I hereby voluntarily request and agree to participate in dog, field trial, and equine activities with my own dog, horse, and with other dogs, horses, and birds. This agreement shall be legally binding upon Owner(s) and/or Participant(s), and the parents or legal guardians thereof if a minor, his/her/their heirs, estate, assigns, including all minor children, and personal representatives; and shall be interpreted according to the laws of Merced County, CA. Any disputes by the Owner(s) shall be litigated in and venue shall be Merced County, CA.
B. Activity Risk Classification
Dog training/hunting/field trialing/horseback riding is classified as RUGGED ADVENTURE RECREATIONAL SPORT ACTIVITY, and there are numerous obvious and non-obvious inherent risks always present in such activity despite all safety precautions. When working with animals, despite any level of training, they are liable to act according to its natural instincts. When working outside terrain is uneven, and conditions can change or deteriorate rapidly affecting both animals and people. Hunting training includes the use of blank guns and/or shotguns. Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) are responsible for their own safety. Should personal property damage and/or medical treatment be required, Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) shall be liable for all such incurred expenses.
C. Protective Gear
Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) have been fully warned and advised by This Kennel that protective hand, eye, ear, and headgear should be used in such activities requiring them. Minors are required to wear protective gear.
D. Liability Release
In consideration of This Kennel allowing my participation in this activity, under the terms set forth herein, Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) and the parent or guardian thereof if a minor, do agree to hold harmless and release This Kennel’s owners, employees, agents, officers, premises owners, insurers, and affiliated organizations from legal liability due to This Kennel’s ordinary negligence; and Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) do further agree that except in the event of This Kennel’s gross negligence and willful and wonton misconduct, Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) shall not bring any claims, demands, legal actions and causes of action, against This Kennel and/or its associates, for any economic and non-economic losses due to bodily injury, death, property damage, sustained by Owner(s) and/or Participant(s) and his/her/their visitors.
E. Agreement
The owner(s) represents that he/she/they is/are the legal owner(s) of said dog(s), or otherwise are the authorized handler with care custody and control of said dog(s), and that said dog(s) have not been exposed to communicable diseases within the last 30 days, and otherwise is/are in good health.

What to Wear:
• Wear long pants, preferably jeans, waterproofed canvas or synthetics
• Wear sturdy field boots, preferably high-top (above the ankles). Gators or chaps will keep debris out of your boots. Wet/muddy conditions may be present, and then waterproof boots are advised.
• Wear Large brimmed sun hat with stampede string, sunglasses, sunscreen, scarf and a loose fitting long sleeve shirt, as well as a rain/wind poncho to protect you against the elements.
