As the one year mark of the LA Fires approaches, the Department of Angels and Extreme Weather Survivors are bringing together Angelenos of all ages for a citywide moment of remembrance, healing, and collective action. Our event, With Us, is designed to bridge communities, honor the progress and healing already underway, and spotlight the urgent change survivors still need for Los Angeles to fully recover.
At the center of the gathering is an interactive storytelling installation that reflects the winding road survivors have traveled. Attendees will be immersed in a unique labyrinth of audio and visual art storytelling that explores how recovery is not linear and why long-term support still matters. With more than 70 percent of displaced survivors still out of their homes, we know that rebuilding can’t happen alone––we need all of us at the table.
