(SYLMAR) Community Dialogue: Perspectives on Probation's Facility Plan

Throughout the month of May, the Department of Youth Development will be organizing Community Dialogue events with community and County partners to hear from youth, families, and community members impacted by the Probation Department’s Facility Plan. This plan impacts young people in the County's juvenile hall, camp, and Secure Youth Treatment facilities.

Please register to join us for the Community Dialogue located near you to learn more about the Facility Plan and share your feedback about what is needed to support those it will impact most. Each event will include a panel presentation, time for dialogue, and the opportunity to share your feedback.

Food and activities for children will be provided. If the event you want to attend reaches capacity, please join the waitlist and a virtual option will be provided.

Community Dialogues will be held at the following locations:

• El Sereno: Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Barrio Action Youth and Family Center (4927 Huntington Dr N, Los Angeles, CA 90032)

• Sylmar: Thursday, May 29, 2025 at El Cariso Community Regional Park (13100 Hubbard St, Sylmar, CA 91342)
• South LA: Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church (5200 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90011)
• Whittier: Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Liberty Community Plaza (14181 Telegraph Rd, Whittier, CA 90604)
