Raíces y Ritmos

Afro-Latinx Connection de UCLA are the program representatives for this event and our mission is to bridge the gap between the Afrikan Diaspora and Latinx communities, while educating folks on Afro-Latin cultures, histories, and existence. In addition, our organizational pillars are community, arts & culture, and political & cultural education. We are hosting our third annual culture show on Friday June 6th, 2025 from 4-8pm in the Covel Grand Horizons. The culture show is an event that highlights and celebrates Afro-Latin cultures and histories across Latin America and the Caribbean through dance performances, music, food, oral histories, and guest artist performances. In addition, the culture show serves as a celebratory event where students on campus can organize and cultivate meaningful relations and leadership skills through community, culture, and diversity.
