Mauritius Dinner Experience

We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Zain—featured on Yes, Chef!—as our guest chef for this month’s dinner experience on Saturday, May 24th. She gained national attention as a standout contestant on NBC’s Yes, Chef!, where her four-course menu earned her a team leader position in the premiere episode. Her dishes, inspired by her Mauritian heritage, were praised for their bold flavors and cultural depth.

In honor of her mother’s Mauritian roots and her father’s South Asian lineage, we continue our culinary tour of Africa by celebrating the layered identities that shape the diaspora. This special menu also pays tribute to Zain’s upbringing in Houston, Texas—a beautiful reflection of the immigrant experience and the art of weaving together multiple cultures.

Beyond television, Zain works as a private chef in Los Angeles. Her growing media presence and unique culinary perspective position her as a rising star in the culinary world.
