A complete ten-session introductory Spolin Theater Game workshop in 5 days (25 hours of play)!
Actors, educators, directors, improvisers, and all who wish to play are invited to experience Viola Spolin’s transformative improvisational theater techniques and learn how to incorporate them into their practice through play.
Based on a lesson plan by Paul Sills, and side-coached by Aretha Sills, the workshop is designed to introduce the key principles of Viola Spolin’s revolutionary acting, directing, and teaching methods in five days (25 hours of play). The week-long intensive will help players be more fully present onstage and off.
Beginners and experienced players are welcome. Class size is limited. Read quotes about the workshops below.
We'll meet: Monday through Friday, July 14-18, 2025, 10am to 3:30 pm, with a half-hour meal break each day.
