UNM-Los Alamos is bringing The Black Pearl Band, NM Hispano Band of the Year, to Ashley Pond Park on August 8th for Nuevo Mexico Night!
The Black Pearl Band is a New Mexico variety (horn-driven) band performing R&B, Old School, Top 40, Country, Rancheras, Cumbias, and Waltz. The band is comprised of 9 musicians.��
We are excited about this concert, as Nuevo Mexico Night has been one of our best-attended events for the last several years, and we expect this year to be no exception! Bring out your NM flags and cool cars of any era. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. and is free!
UNM-Los Alamos is a branch campus of The University of New Mexico, the state's flagship university. They are known for a student-to-faculty ratio of 18:1 and instructors who also work in the fields in which they teach. They offer the type of hands-on learning usually available at a private college but at a community college price.
UNM-LA offers certificate programs and associate degree programs; community education and customized training courses; small business development seminars through our Los Alamos Small Business Development Center; Adult Basic Education programs, including High School Equivalency (HSE) credential and English as a Second Language (ESL); and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program.
The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is produced by Sancre Productions and the Los Alamos County Community Services Department.
