Western or English Style Bondage has become a lost art with the rise in popularity of Shibari. Yet English styles of bondage offer a much more intimate and interactive experience between the Top and the bottom.

Predicament Bondage is interactive, meaning, it does things. the submissive is not held in one position, but rather, when struggling, the bondage sensations will change, thus causing a "Predicament"; a situation where they must make a decision, all of which have their consequences.

Contortion Bondage is a type of predicament bondage that forces the bottom into uncomfortable positions that they must maintain or suffer the consequences.

Inescapable Bondage is yet another form of predicament bondage. It is what it sounds like; bondage with NOW WAY OUT. They can struggle, squirm and attempt free themselves BUT THEY CANNOT ESCAPE!

You will learn:

INTRO TO BONDAGE IN THEORY AND PRACTICE FRIDAY 6-9PM

1. Choosing your rope: The different types of ropes, their purpose and the sensations the create. How to pick and maintain the type of rope that's most suitable for you, and basic bondage safety.

2. The theory and techniques: Eastern (Japanese) vs. Western (English) styles of bondage, and their history, rope management and anatomy of rope.

3. The 2 basic kinds of knots you'll get the most use of: slip knots and rigging / anchor points

4. First knots: It's all about the right kind of tension and these 1st knots will teach you that! The 1st tie is the daisy chain; this will help you with your rope management skills. Then we'll move on to bondage handcuffs for our 1st take down tie. Followed by Hangman's Noose. The perfect Noose is the holy grail of knots! Learn this properly and everything else will be EASY! You will be the master of the 1st basic principle of Western Bondage - REVERSE TENSION! Finally, we'll learn our 1st rigging point - the square knot.

BASIC BONDAGE TECHNIQUES SATURDAY 1-7PM

5. Intro to basic wrist and ankle ties: Building on the slip knots of yesterday, we'll start with our second style of slip knot, a lark's head. By doubling the larks head and adding a square knot, we create Mistress Tara's signature tie, "Tara's Predicament." This tie can be used in infinite ways; for tying together, to columns, spread eagle, and even a bondage corset!

6. Braided suspension cuff: for tying to column, spread eagle, partial suspension and straight jacket take down tie

7. Arms and leg ties: elbow bondage, over-arms ties, frog tie, gauntlets, 1st predicament: Tara's Standing Butterfly, followed by and immobilizing gag tie

8. Body harnesses; bondage bikini, chest harness basic, Karada, over arm Karada, backless karada, and full body Karade (Caterpilar)

ADVANCED BONDAGE TECHNIQUES SUNDAY 1-7PM

9. The theory and practice of making your bondage inescapable or into a predicament

10. Bondage Positions & Spreader Bars: Damsel in distress positons, The Waitress, Head Over Heals, Bunny Ears, Box Tie, Strappado, Bent Over Strappado

11. How to Improvise with rope: Building on your foundation ties, tying to rigging points, chairs, tables, ottomans, ladders and other everyday pieces when you don't have bondage furniture.

About the Instructor:

Tara Indiana has been a professional and lifestyle Dominatrix, BDSM Educator & Political Activist for over 30 years.
