Join us at Official Welcome for the L.A. launch of Joni Murphy’s new novel BARBARA, published by Astra House.
Described as atmospheric and "Didionesque" in Booklist, BARBARA follows the life of an actress as she steps through the looking glass of cold war America, searching for beauty and meaning in a phantasmagoric landscape dominated by nuclear escalation, macho cinematic dealings, and wounded souls.
Joni will be in conversation with writers Anna Dorn and Lisa Locascio Nighthawk on the book and the world it travels through.
