Foothill College Dance Team Auditions — Season 11! 🎉
We’re back for our 11th season — and our second year post-COVID with even more energy, passion, and big goals! From the NFL Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show to UDA Nationals, our team has a legacy of excellence, and we’re ready to write the next chapter with YOU.

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or simply passionate about performing, we invite you to audition and be part of something truly special.

✨ Tryout Process & Key Dates ✨

💥 Prep Classes – Your warm-up before auditions!
These are optional but highly recommended sessions that help you prepare for what to expect during audition week. We’ll break down technique, performance style, and tips to help you feel confident and ready.

• Thursday, May 1 | 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  💲 $5 per class — pay online here or bring cash in person.

🔥 Audition Week Begins – Tuesday, April 29
Get ready to dive into the real deal! This week is focused on learning the official audition routine.
📍 Room 2507

• Clinic Day 1: Tuesday, May 6 | 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Clinic Day 2: Thursday, May 8 | 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

🖤 Dress Code: All black attire is required for both clinic days.
💄 Hair & Makeup: Full hair and makeup is highly advised to simulate performance conditions and help you feel confident.

• Check-in: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Auditions Begin: 9:00 AM
  💃 Come performance-ready in a two-piece audition outfit, with skin-tone tights and a polished look. You’ll perform the full routine in front of a panel of judges and participate in a short interview.

🎓 Eligibility:
All audition participants must be enrolled Foothill College students for the Fall 2025 Quarter.

📝 FAQ – Everything You Need to Know

1. What should I wear to the prep and audition sessions?

• Prep Classes: Comfortable attire you can move in.
• Clinic Days (May 6 & 8): All black dancewear.
• Audition Day: A two-piece audition outfit with skin-tone tights, full hair and makeup, and dance shoes.

2. Do I need to attend both prep classes and both clinic days?

• Prep classes are optional, but strongly encouraged! They’re meant to help you feel confident and informed.
• Clinic days are part of audition week and where you'll learn the actual audition routine — we highly recommend attending both.

3. What if I’ve never danced before?
We welcome dancers of all levels! Our auditions focus on your potential, passion, and presence just as much as technique.

4. How will auditions be evaluated?
You’ll be judged on performance, memory of the routine, technique, freestyle, and a short interview to get to know you.

5. Can I bring someone to watch?
Auditions are closed to the public. Only dancers and staff are allowed in the room to maintain a focused, safe space.

6. When will I receive the registration packet?
Registration packets will be sent via email on Sunday, April 27th. Be sure to check your inbox and complete all forms on time.

7. What happens if I make the team?
You’ll receive all next steps via email, including our first team meeting and practice schedule. We hit the ground running—get ready for a big year ahead!

8. What if I can’t make it to the pre-audition clinics?
You can still audition! We’ll provide a video of the routine after the first clinic day, so you can catch up if needed.

9. When will results be announced?
Results will be emailed by Saturday evening at 5 PM.
