Delegate Hillary Pugh Kent is proud to host the Red, White & Blue Catfish Classic, a one-day fishing tournament that celebrates the heritage, beauty, and spirit of Virginia’s Northern Neck. This exciting event will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, with a sunrise start and weigh-in by 4:00 PM at Leedstown Campground on the Rappahannock River.
Anglers will compete for nearly $4,000 in cash prizes including: 1st Place - $2,000, 2nd Place - $1,000, 3rd Place - $500, Lunker Award (Biggest Overall Fish) - $100, and gift cards awarded for the youth division. The first 50 boats to register will receive a free launch at the Leedstown weigh-in site.
The tournament promotes outdoor recreation, tourism, and community engagement while supporting local initiatives across the region. All fishing must comply with Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) regulations for blue catfish on the Rappahannock River.
