Elyria Youth Sports Club Launches Mentoring Program and Hosts Community-Wide Celebration
Elyria, OH — August 23, 2025 — The Elyria Youth Sports Club (EYSC) is proud to announce the launch of its Mentoring Program: “Empowering Youth Beyond the Game”, alongside a Community-Wide Celebration Event to honor the accomplishments of its athletes and recognize the contributions of parents, volunteers, and coaches.
The new Mentoring Program is designed to support youth development both on and off the field, with a focus on:
• Academic Support & Enrichment – Homework help, tutoring, study skills, and encouraging educational achievement.
• Social & Emotional Development – Building self-esteem, emotional intelligence, resilience, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships.
• Life Skills – Financial literacy, time management, and decision-making.
• Health & Wellness Education – Promoting nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle habits.
The Community-Wide Celebration Event will introduce the mentoring initiative while also highlighting the achievements of EYSC athletes. The program includes:
• Awards Presentations
• Athletes’ Reflections
• Parent Volunteer Recognition
• Coaches’ Reflections
• Program Overview
• Food and fellowship
