In this 8 hour class by an NRA Certified Instructor we teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. During this course you will be provided the opportunity to develop essential handgun safety fundamentals, understand the different types of pistols, and utilize different shooting positions. Some of the topics in the course include; gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a handgun, the fundamentals of shooting and handgun inspection and maintenance. After time in our smokeless range we will have a live fire session with a final shooting qualification. Course fee is 150.00 plus 25.00 range fee paid to the range. Classes are kept small to ensure individual attention. Must be paid in full to hold spot. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: BYOG (Bring Your Own Gun) A functional semi automatic handgun in .22lr, 380 or 9mm 50 rounds of that caliber ammunition No reloaded ammunition permitted in this class. If you need to borrow a gun, please let us know.
