Stageworks Northwest Theatre presents "The Santa Claus Chronicles," a Christmas comedy performed by local children, directed by Janeene Stephens. The play opens Dec 5.
The story begins a few days before Christmas, where Santa's press secretary answers reporters' "pressing" questions, such as "What's Santa's favorite snack?" and "How does he tell if someone's naughty or nice?"
From there we meet the reindeer wranglers — Eeeny, Meeny, Miney and Sol — and drop in on the elves manning the North Pole's gift suggestion hotline. But underneath all the holiday jolliness is a secret worry: Mrs. Claus is missing!
"The Christmas Chronicles" runs Dec. 5-7 and 12-14, with curtain times at 7:30 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. The show runs approximately one hour, with no intermission.
Tickets are $25 adults, $18 students/seniors/veterans, $12 children. Groups of 10 or more pay $16 each. Buy online at www.stageworksnorthwest.com or at the door one hour before showtime, 1433 Commerce Ave., Longview, WA.
