Join the Cowlitz Valley Runners this July 4th for a fun-filled, family-friendly event that’s more than just a race — it’s a way to give back. We’re proud to partner with Helping Every Veteran In Need (HEVIN), a patriotic non-profit supporting those who’ve served our nation. When you register for the Go Fourth Mile, you’ll have the option to make a donation that directly supports veterans in need. Learn more about HEVIN’s incredible mission at www.hevin4vets.com.
Here’s the Scoop:
Lace up for a one-mile run or walk along the festive route of Longview’s Go 4th Festival parade! The course is certified by USA Track & Field -- it is EXACTLY 1 Mile (for you uber-competitive types seeking medals and Personal Records.)
The race kicks off in front of the iconic Monticello Hotel and finishes near the picturesque Martin's Dock at Lake Sacajawea Park. You'll be cheered on by hundreds of excited parade-goers as you move along this fast, flat, and scenic course.
This community-centered event is hosted by the Cowlitz Valley Runners, in partnership with HEVIN and proudly sponsored by Monticello Coffee House & Lounge, Child & Adolescent Clinic, Red Leaf Organic Coffee, Cortex Marketing, and Norpac.
Affordable Fun for the Whole Family:
We’re keeping entry fees low so everyone can join the celebration! Proceeds help fund scholarships for high school seniors pursuing higher education — another great reason to get involved.
Prizes & Perks:
🏅 Medals for the top male and female finishers
🎗 Ribbons for second and third place winners, plus top male and female finishers over 50
🎁 Fun random door prizes — walkers can win too!
