Nerina will Host a Cretan Whites Focused Wine Class Beginning on 8/8

Nerina (35 Commercial St) in Greenpoint will host a wine class series with a focus on Cretan Whites beginning on Friday August 8th at 5:30pm with additional sessions on August 15th and August 22nd. Join Nerina for an evening that includes pours of hand-selected bottles a Greek cheese plate and stories from Crete’s ancient winemaking tradition. Perfect for wine lovers island dreamers and anyone curious about Greece beyond Assyrtiko. Explore the crisp coastal whites of Crete through three native grapes—Vilana Vidiano and Plyto in this guided tasting. Tickets for the classes are $35 per person and include a tasting of: a 2023 Vilana Moinoterra Archanes Crete a fresh sunlit expression of Vilana; 2023 Vidiano Daskalakis “Vorinos” Heraklion Crete a modern classic from a rising-star producer; and a 2021 Plyto Lyrarakis “Psarades” Crete a rare revival from one of Crete’s most historic wineries.
