Join us for a dynamic evening designed to fuel your creativity and elevate your craft. Write B4 The Mic is the ultimate fusion of a hands-on writers workshop and an electrifying open mic. This is your chance to practice, perform, and perfect your artistry among fellow poets, lyricists, and scribes.

6:30pm - 8:00pm:

The Writers Workshop Get ready to dive deep. We’ll kick off the evening with engaging writing prompts and free-write sessions to spark new ideas and help you explore your unique voice. This is where the magic begins.

8:15pm - 10:00pm:

The Open Mic This is your stage. Step up to the mic and share your work—whether it’s a piece you just created in the workshop or a long-held treasure. The room is yours.

October's Theme:Self History / Black History - the Hero's/ Heroines that have inspired and continue to inspire. This month, we share knowledge, to explore those who have healed and contributed to society, space travel , sport and science to save humanity with stem cell miracles curing communities .

Your Host & Guide:

The creative space is hosted and facilitated by Starlight, with the support of the Write B4 The Mic Creative Catalysts. They’re here to ensure a welcoming and inspiring experience for everyone.

Important Details:Who Can Attend? This event is for anyone 18+—from well-seasoned creatives to first-time audience members ready to explore the vibrant London Poetry Scene.

Venue: The Advocacy Academy , The Liberation Centre, 2 Beehive Place, SW9 7QR.

Accessibility: This venue is step-free.

Refreshments: Feel free to bring your own food and drinks . There are also plenty of local shops and eateries in Brixton Village nearby.
