(un)common threads uncovers the beauty of microscopic mycorrhizal fungi. It is a science-based, participatory experience that celebrates fungal diversity and explores the vital ecological role fungi play in connecting forests and fighting climate change.
This exhibition features stunning microscope images of fungal structures by Dr. Laura Suz (Senior Research Leader in Mycology at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) and is accompanied by an original soundscape by artist Lez Kosanke, created using biosonification techniques which translate the electrical signals of fungi into sound.
Visitors of all ages are invited to contribute to a collaborative, evolving artwork.
