For a month two practitioners will share their research with one another around contact improviation. They will facilitate a lab, every Tuesday evening 7-9:30pm , for people to join the research by facilitating approaches, experiments and engage joint conversations.
Participants are invited to bring their questions and join the explorations proactively, becoming a co-researcher in the process.
The lab will provide a facilitation to meet the exploration through embodied practices that we know as well as new approaches that we will test and try out.
ON SPRUNG FLOOR!!!
Sole and Laura
Sole and Laura have danced and worked alongside for many years now, visited each others classes and fed the appetite to nurture an exchange.
They share a love for detail and slow approaches, bodywork and expansive dancing that comes from a place of deep tuning. They also adore spirals and want to unravel a research that explores tone, breath and all of the above in order to create a spring - meaning we take lots of time to connect deeply, integrate release and a softer tone to then find the energy source for more dynamic dances that are nevertheless deeply aware and carry a complexity because we understand in greater detail what we are with.
Sole
Is a professional dancer and has taught Contact Improvisation in London and festivals in the UK (eg. Temenos Dance, The Sanctuary, CI@Goldsmiths, Emerging Hearts). She continues to train, dance and learn in the UK and abroad. Alongside Contact Improvisation she’s a trainee psycotherapist in Process Oriented Psychology and Yoga Instructor.
Laura
has taught CI pretty consistently over the past 15 years or more around London, the UK and across Europe. She's visited France, Portugal, Sweden, Germany, Czeck Republik, Cyprus, Turkey and the Netherlands as teacher and continues to travel the world as student.
