Originally from Poland, Agata Kubiak is a London based jazz singer and violinist. Her recent album, “The Other” was released in June this year. Agata will present a special set of beloved English and Polish jazz standards in new, personal arrangements featuring a world premiere of a version of one of her favourite jazz compositions “Kind Folk” with her original lyrics.

“Agata Kubiak is talent personified. Her voice is beautifully sweet, but with a slight sardonic edge (…)” – This Year in Music

“Surprisingly, when listening to “Polarity” one gets a feeling that she sings only for you, almost in your ear (…)” – VK DA Vision

SET 2 (8:40 pm): FREDDIE BENEDIT Quartet

Hailing from a theatrical family, Freddie Benedict’s extraordinary voice soared from a young age. A choral scholar and classical soloist when young, it is as a jazz interpreter that his mature, warm baritone has really found its calling. With a voice that bridges the timeless charm of jazz with a modern edge, Freddie offers a whistlestop tour through his musical world - blending technical brilliance with soulful storytelling. As the lead male singer with National Youth Jazz Orchestra for 10 years, he has performed all over the UK, including Ronnie Scott’s. Freddie has recorded some original music which he is planning to release in the not-so-distant future!

“It doesn’t get much better than this…a dazzling vocalist” – Steven Berkoff

“Freddie is an incredible young, up-and-coming jazz vocalist” – on Smith, The Swingles

Line up: Freddie Benedict – vocals and trumpet; Chris Bland – piano; Luke Fowler – double bass; Tom Potter - drums

SET 3 (9:30 pm): VIMALA ROWE Quartet

From her training in Hindustani classical music in India, to world music, soul and effortlessly swinging jazz, award winning singer Vimala Rowe has rapidly become recognised as a major talent on the British jazz scene. Sell out performances at Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz Club-Soho, 606 Club, London Jazz Festival and countrywide, she delights and enchants her audiences with her naturally passionate and emotive range of expression. The World Jazz vocalist debuts her new show - she tells the story of her direct experience of having multiple ‘mothers' before being adopted by white academic parents. Music, artists and poetry from Billie Holiday to William Blake always helped her navigate through these sometimes challenging and joyful experiences. They are the cornerstones to the show.

“Artistry of the highest order” - Simon Callow

“A singer of quite astonishing versatility and adaptability” - London Jazz News

Line up: Vimala Rowe - vocals; Charlie Flint - piano; Mikele Montolli – bass; Darren Becket - drums

SET 4 (10:20 pm): ALICE ZAWADZKI Trio

Clash Magazine described Alice Zawadzki as “loosely connected to the jazz world, but realistically inhabiting her own realm”. Indeed, she is widely known for her striking compositions, unexpected collaborations and sense of artistic adventure, as well as her recent release on ECM Records ‘Za Górami’, with The Guardian proclaiming her as “a genuine original”. At the root of this rich journey, is her first love: jazz. With two of her dearest friends and close collaborators, pianist Pete Lee and bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado, Alice Zawadzki returns home to Duke Ellington, Charlie Mingus, Billy Strayhorn and more!..

“Her lustrous vocal range is the real live deal… a commanding, intense performer” - Jazzwise Magazine

"Zawadzki's talent is bursting at the seams. An exceptional, world-class singer" - Written in Music (Netherlands)
