The House of Lime: A pop-up 'country club' in the heart of London, just a Lime ride away

Lime is inviting Londoners to “escape the city” for one final slice of summer at House of Lime this weekend (12th and 13th September). The pop-up ‘country club’ is designed to satisfy the green escape city dwellers have been craving without having to leave zone 1, fork out cash, or worry about the great British weather.

Bringing a taste of the country to the city, House of Lime is a first-of-its-kind city-based ‘country club’. Lime will open the two-day indoor experience after new research reveals young Londoners' love to escape the capital for green weekend getaways, but don’t always find the full country club experience accessible. 

In its recent survey of Londoners aged 18-45, Lime found more than one in two (52%) said they love leaving the capital for a country escape, but for many it’s not so easy. 29% of city dwellers said a lack of transport made the countryside hard to get to, while nearly a quarter (23%) identified the expense as a reason not to visit.

Breaking down these barriers, the House of Lime is a ‘country club’ reimagined: accessible, convenient, weather-proof… and all just a Lime ride away.

No hefty petrol bill, expensive train tickets, long journeys or membership fees required - just the good stuff like ‘rolling lawns’, countryside leisure and the very best east London vibes… all indoors, and with a special Lime twist.

Like all good country clubs, there will be plenty to do - and it's all on the house, of course! 

• Attendees can enjoy custom-flavour soft serve from sweet treat connoisseurs Chin Chin Desserts Club (first-come-first-served) 
• Visit the pop-up nail bar with Lime-inspired nail art from Shoreditch Nails (1-6pm) 
• Participate in classic indoor llawn games like boules and badminton (all day) 
• Head to the Waterside Bar for delicious drinks from Something & Nothing (all day) 
• Cool off at Shoreditch's much cooler, newer pool terrace* (all day) 
• Welcome dusk in the indoor garden where the resident House of Lime DJ, YEAHITSRENEE, will be bringing all the vibes (4-7 pm) 
• Pick up FREE Lime minutes to help you get around post-visit 

*Pool terrace does not include swimming pool

And because no country club is complete without a little bit of culture, the club’s gallery wall will celebrate the best of East London art with a new tongue-in-cheek collection from meme artist The Real Housewives of Clapton which has been curated and created exclusively for the House of Lime.
