Tech for Good Hackathon
#HackForGood (because someone has to)
This in-person hackathon brings together people who want to use design thinking to creatively tackle high-value tech for good challenges. Over an intensive and collaborative weekend, participants will creatively explore problems and build prototypes addressing themes such as:
Expert speakers will share their knowledge and experiences of working on these topics to direct an evidence-based approach to the hackathon. Design challenges will then be presented, with everyone choosing which they want to work on addressing through ideation and prototyping. Delegates will then pitch their ideas and groups will form to collaboratively work on each concept and prototype. At the end of the weekend each group will present their work, which will be judged by subject matter experts; coaching prizes by product leaders will then be awarded.
Expert talks include:

The event is open to anyone interested in making a positive impact in the tech for good space, you don’t need to be a coder. We actively encourage participation from people with a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and lived experiences, as we believe that diverse perspectives lead to stronger, more innovative ideas.
This hackathon is co-organised by Jodie Keens (Safer Futures Tech) and Emily Haynes (DesSoc, Imperial College London).
