Guest DJ Marc Nicolas has Been a DJ since 1989, through many genres, starting locally In Brunel Rooms Swindon, doing mixes and tapes, clubbing at Gas, got into Jazz Funk then harder jazz, end the 90’s became a UK fusion jazz dancer. The influence of that and jazz lives with you, of course going to Southport, Snowboy & Phil Levene’s Hi Hat at Jazz Cafe. My record collection grew to be bop, samba, Latin, fusion, soulful house, broken beat, soul, jazz funk, Hip Hop, RnB, funk, disco etc.
2001 part of De La Funk night playing accessible mix of soul and party funk classics ministry of sound magazines no.1 SW Friday night. From there played at deep at poppy reds (broken beat), soul, funk, club classics across SW and jazz fusion sets at Shiftless Shuffle London and Out to Lunch Notts. (even an uncredited jazz dance set at Southport Weekender) resident at Baila’s Coffee Swindon playing funk soul breaks and more, DJ sets at Bruk Up in Birmingham and run the Jazz Quarterly session playing dancefloor jazz. All these influences go into the melting pot that is the freestyle show
