South African Winemaker Dinner with Rainbow's End

We're excited to shine a spotlight on the Western Cape’s wild terroir, its independent wine mavericks, and wines that punch way above their price tag. South Africa isn’t just about safaris and sunsets (although, yes please) – it’s one of the top 10 wine-producing countries in the world. The wines produced here are unapologetically bold, exhibiting the sunshine-infused richness you’d expect from South Africa’s balmy slopes and lush vineyards.

This October, we’re welcoming Anton Malan from Rainbow's End Wine Estate for our next Meet the Winemaker Supper Club in Fleet Street. Taking to the spotlight at our Humble Grape wine bar, Anton travelled all the way from South Africa to host a memorable evening celebrating his esteemed wines.

Rainbow's End is a proper family endeavor. Dr Jacques Malan gave up his practice to pursue his love of wine. Now his son Anton makes the wine and his other son Francois tends the vines of the 22 hectare estate in Stellenbosch. The vineyards rise up from the valley floor to 550m above sea level high up the Jonkershoek Mountain.

After a welcome drink, the winemaker will guide you through the 3-hour session, so you can sip, swirl, and savour each drop as we unveil the hidden stories and secret techniques behind five iconic bottles.

Each wine will be perfectly paired with five dishes from South Africa, crafted by our talented Executive Chef.
