10pm THE DAN SPANNER TRIO
The Dan Spanner Trio, formerly known as Punk Jazz Spanner, plays a heady brew of psychedelic rock, modal jazz, ska and a whole lot more besides. Fronted by the multi-instrumentalist Dan Spanner, who leads a number of ensembles including The Spanner Big Band and Spanner Jazz Punks. The Trio has played several blistering sets at Biddle Bros. The musicians explore soundscapes and psychedelic journeys with modal jazz/funk/rock grooves and improvisations, all with a hard edge, combined with Dan's imaginative lyrics and a dash of theatrics for good measure!
Featuring Dan Spanner on sax and vocals, Chris Williams on bass and John Baker on drums.
