Reflective Walks
In these walks, attendees will be encouraged to engage with nature to help explore and understand our grief and ourselves differently. The group will be led firstly through the green spaces of Waterlow Park and then into Highgate Cemetery.
Grief is a natural reaction to any kind of loss but is often difficult to talk about as it can feel lonely, in this session there are opportunities to pause, reflect and share, but never the expectation. And you are always welcome to bring the difficult feelings that we often hide from others. The sharing and reflection that occurs within the group normalize emotional responses, reducing a sense of isolation felt when considering loss.
Engagement with the natural world is an opportunity for individuals to 'get out of their heads' —attendees are led and encouraged to reflect on and engage with their experiences of grief and the associated emotions while immersing themselves in the natural environment.
