ABOUT THE BAND:

Led by bassist, composer, and bandleader Mireia, Periscopi Invertit blends ancient Catalan folk melodies with vibrant funk, Latin, and jazz arrangements, all deeply rooted in Mediterranean grooves. Their music reflects the spirit of migration and celebrates our ever-evolving multicultural world.

Periscopi Invertit band has just completed the mastering of their debut album, set for release this November by Catalan label Crea Music (creamusic.creamultimedia.net).
The official launch will take place at Toulouse Lautrec on Nov.

Periscopi Invertit has already graced stages across London, including The Jago, Orleans Bar, The Old Hall at Lincoln’s Inn, The Mildmay Club, Waterloo Creative Studio, Upstairs at the Ritzy, The Post Bar, Folklore (Hoxton), and Jam in a Jar, among others.

ABOUT MIREIA:

A graduate of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC, 2010), Mireia has built an impressive career as a bassist in the UK. She has performed in the musical Millennials at MTFest (Turbine Theatre) and appeared at festivals such as Medicine Festival (main stage with Koroleko), Wilderness, Africa Oyé, Journeys Festival, London African Music Festival, and The Big Feastival. She has collaborated with a wide range of artists including Mim Suleiman, Nelson & Friends, Koroleko, Malunga, and Berber Difusion.
