Come join us for an exciting in-person event at The Place ( Kings Cross ) - studio 7
This Ballet Master class is perfect for dancers looking to enhance their pas de deux skills or trying for the first time. We will learn a section from the Ganzatti Pas de Deux , from La Bayadere.
. The teachers will share the skills of how to dance with a partner and refine your technique in a supportive environment. A great opportunity to elevate your dance abilities and connect with others dancers.
We wont have a warm up this time, so we go straight to the pas de deux this time.
Suggested level : General Level- non professional and professionals welcome!

Meet the Teachers !
Giovanna began her training in Brazil at 9 years old and moved to Rio de Janeiro to attended the Maria Olenewa State Dance School (Municipal Ballet of Rio de Janeiro affiliated School), based on Vaganova Methodology. She graduated in 2014 and performed with the Company in Coppelia and Nutcraker productions. She was awarded First Place and Best dancer in National competitions. She has competed in and placed in numerous International Competitions including American Dance Competition 2015, USA (Top 15 with Variation and Highest Score with Pas Deux); 7th Helsinki International Ballet Competition 2012,Finland; Youth America Grand Prix NYC Finals 2013, USA; Silver Medal at the International Dance Seminar In Brasilia, 2011,Brazil.
In 2015 she got a soloist contract to dance with Ballets de France in Toulouse, France.
She moved to Canada in 2016 to be a Soloist Dancer with Canada´s Ballet Jörgen. In Toronto she also had the pleasure to work with Evelyn Hart in her own group and with teachers and choreographers of National Ballet of Canada.
Giovanna secured a scholarship to complete her American Ballet Theatre National Teaching Curriculum provided by YUMIKO dancewear and has since been teaching in Canada, Brazil and England, and leading international masterclasses for students across the world, from France to India. Giovanna is now based in London where she is a freelance dancer and teacher where she teaches at Danceworks , London Ballet Classes and Cit Lit . She was a guest artist doing the role of Clara from 2018 until 2024 with Symphony of Nova Scotia, in Halifax , Canada .She holds a degree for Cultural Production and is also a founder of Dance Connections Agency where she help dancers to achieve their dreams in the dance industry.
Alysson Rocha
Born in Rio de Janeiro, he began his ballet taining at age 6 at Petite Danse School of Dance, with a scholarship from the NPO “Dançar a Vida” Social Project. He was a finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2005, which earned him a scholarship to study at the San Francisco Ballet School. At just 16, he joined the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2013, Alysson was invited to join Ballett Dortmund in Germany, creating roles alongside his director Xin Peng Wang . By 2018, he was appointed Ballet Master and First Ballet Master in 2021.
Alysson has taught at prestigious institutions like the Royal Ballet of London and the European School of Ballet and has served as a judge for the Youth America Grand Prix competitions. In addition, Mr. Rocha was the Artistic Curator of the 37th International Ballet Gala, Ballett Dortmund, in celebration of Xin Peng Wang’s 20th season with Ballett Dortmund.
Now , Alysson is the Designated Head of Professional Division of Oklahoma City Ballet School, Oklahoma City Ballet , USA .
