Near thirty year veteran of the Toronto music scene and front man of the award winning band and International Blues Challenge semi finalists, Raoul and The Big Time, Raoul returns to the UK for one night only performing with top flight London area blues artists Lewis Fielding (guitar), Francesca Nnoka Shaw (upright bass) and Loris Peverani (drums).
Raoul and The Big Time, formed in 1998 have played all across Canada, released five albums to date and have recorded or performed with legendary blues artists such as Bettye LaVette, Billy Boy Arnold, Curtis Salgado, Rick Holmstrom, Junior Watson, Mark Hummel, Super Chikan, Billy Branch, Colin James, Johnny Sansone, Big Dave McLean, Rusty Zinn, Richard Innes, Big Joe Maher, Larry Taylor, Fred Kaplan, Franck Goldwasser, Nathan James, Stephen Hodges, Jeff Turmes, Donny Gerrard, Lee Oskar and many more.
Raoul and Ain't Nothin' But...
Raoul first walked into Ain't Nothin' But as a student visiting London thirty years ago, where he enjoyed many local acts including harmonica player Wolfie Witcher. While filming a television movie in London he would return in 2007 to sit in one night with Sam Hare and was joined by actor and musician Bruce Greenwood. Now, many years later he returns for ONE NIGHT ONLY to play his brand of Big Time Blues for the good people of W1!
