London! Come out to the 20th Anniversary screening of Film Director Pablo Aravena's opera prima, the feature length documentary “Next: A Primer on Urban Painting”.
Released back in 2005 “Next” was the very first documentary to showcase Graffiti and Street Art as a worldwide cultural phenomenon. This documentary, co-produced with agnès b, shot in the United States, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Germany, England, Spain, Japan, and Brazil, and features painters, writers, designers, and members of the global graffiti/street art community who show us their work and illustrate the evolution of modern graffiti from its beginnings in 1970s New York to the early 2000s. This film captured the early days of the global street art movement with many artists who are still active and even more famous today. The film features a soundtrack by Quantic, Sixtoo, Moonstarr, Scott C, DJ Nuts and others.
The screening will be followed by Q&A with Director Pablo Aravena and moderated by renowned London artist and curator Cedar Lewisohn.
