Neurodivergent Linocut Workshop & Chat

Come join us for a casual creative meet-up at Victoria Park! The event is run by COGS AI, a neurodivergent well-being social enterprise, but open to anyone. The workshop will be led by an ADHDer Community Arts masters student and is intended to focus on the neurodivergent creative community -- all ND identifiers and allies welcome!

Linocut, short for linolium cut, is a printing method that involves carving the negative space of a linolium sheet and relief printing the design with ink. The workshop leader loves linocutting and finds the process extremely sensorily satisfying and creatively stimulating. When she's shared linocutting previously, the results are always beyond everyone’s expectations, so she's excited to bring it to Cogs!

Our schedule:

1-2PM: Come join us at 1PM to learn the linolium cut basics and carve a linocut of your own to print and take home at the end of the day. All materials provided.

2-3PM: Those who have attended the workshop are free to continue working on their linocuts. At this time, we also welcome anyone who would like to come and natter with other ND creatives, no expectation to join the linocutting.

Sign up on our eventbrite page by 9AM the morning of April 26 to ensure materials if you intend to come for the linocut workshop. Anyone who wants to join and not carve is welcome to show up unannounced but we encourage sign up if you want to recieve event updates. If you're plans change, please cancel your ticket so others have a chance to join.
