Welcome to the Massage World Exchange Day with Championship Demos & CPD Workshops!

This special event is where therapists can come together to experience the expertise of the UK's top massage therapy champions. This unique event is open to massage practitioners, newly qualified therapists, colleges, tutors and trainers. Learn from those who have competed and won in various categories at The National Massage Championship, as well as the World Championships in Copenhagen.
This event will feature live demonstrations of various massage techniques by these champions, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to learn and be inspired.
In addition to the demonstrations, we are inviting experienced massage trainers to host hands-on CPD workshops which will give an excellent opportunity for attendees to further their skills and knowledge through high-quality instruction.
Furthermore, we will be hosting a massage exchange for attendees so that they can practice what they have learnt from the massage champions and the CPD workshops through instruction.
Overall, our goal is to create a day of learning, networking, and celebration of massage therapy, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from across the industry.
Following the demonstrations from the winners of The National Massage Championship, we will have representatives of the competition available to speak to you about the benefits of signing up for your categories of choice in London this year. An exclusive discount to The NMC will also be available for those who sign up on the day!
ABOUT MASSAGE WORLD
Massage World magazine has hosted CPD talks and events in London at The National Massage Championships in London since 2018, and in Copenhagen partnering with Lotus publishing at the World Massage Championships.
The World Championships, launched in 2017 in Copenhagen, has created a fantastic space for massage therapists to network and build upon their skills, as well as creating industry champions every year. The National Massage Championships was created in 2018 in London and is an incredible launchpad for massage therapists to catapult their career, giving great opportunity and building on an individual's confidence in the industry. Both of these competitions have been supported, promoted and endorsed by Massage World magazine since their conception.

Songbird Naturals massage wax will be attending this event and setting up a Popup shop for the Day. Songbird will have a Special on the Day only promotion with the massage products so practitioners can stock up on their favourite blends. Andy from Songbird will also be giving advice on the best ways to use each blend for different treatment techniques.

• Western methods excel in detailed anatomical work, addressing physical tension and muscular imbalances, but can sometimes lack the holistic perspective of energy flow and mind-body integration.
• Eastern techniques, on the other hand, focus on muscular chain, flexibility, energy channels, and the interconnectedness of mind and body, but may not always directly address deep muscle tension.
Info: Enjoy this workshop specialising in advanced chair massage techniques that can be incorporated into your existing chair massage routine. These techniques are designed to relieve common back, neck, and shoulder issues arising from modern sedentary lifestyles and the use of handheld devices. These are not generic chair massage sequences but include original techniques developed by the Gladwells and Thai techniques adapted for chair use. During the workshop, participants will be encouraged to practice in pairs on any type of chair, each step through a guided session. Come and join him and learn some effective tried and tested techniques that you can add to your workplace massage office routines.

Info: Overall Winner of the National Massage Championships (NMC) 2024, receiving the Judge’s Excellence Award as well as 1st place in the Eastern Category. She also achieved 2nd place in the Best Massage category at the IMA National World Massage (Hong Kong) 2024.
Info: Kateryna Miakutikova from Ukraine is a dedicated and experienced massage therapist with 9 years of experience. She is also a volunteer for the Trauma Relief Acupuncture for adult/children Ukrainian refugees and sound Healer with more than 10 years experience. Kateryna won 4th place in Wellness Massage in the World Championship in Copenhagen in 2023 and
1st place in Classic and 2nd place in Wellness categories in the same year at The National Massage Championship. In 2024's NMC competition she won 3rd place in the Wellness Massage Category.
