We're really excited to welcome Max Mudie to Allens Community Garden for a Macro Photography workshop. Max is a nature photographer with 20 years of experience, and a focus on macro photography. He will be talking you through the basics, explaining how you can get high quality macro photos using household objects, and then supporting you to have a go exploring the fauna, flora and fungi of Allens Community Garden.
No photography experience is necessary or specialist equipment needed, just bring along your camera or camera phone. Children under 16 are welcome, but we ask that they have an adult supervising them.

Accessibility
Allens Community Garden has no steps but is uneven and can be slippery in wet weather. The toilet is accessible by a ramp that has unfortunately broken, so includes a slope upwards and downwards. The main paths are wheelchair accessible but the spaces between beds can be too narrow at points for a wheelchair to pass.
We have some accessible tools and knee pads, but not all the tools we'd like. We can provide waterproofs and warmer clothes if needed. The site has running water and lots of seating. There is an unfenced pond, so small children need supervision. We actively seek to accommodate sensory needs.
